NBA Season! Yeay! -_-

December 2nd. Well, today, I had to spend the whole day away from the classroom because we (the Gulf View staff) had to finish our school paper. This means I missed ALL the things that happened in our room. Quizzes and lectures and stuff.

But more than that, I had to spend the whole day away from some of my friends, including 'her'. Uh, this didn't really bother me at first 'cause the whole time I was working, the idea that I was going to spend time with them (*cough* her) the moment we were done. But, I was BADLY wrong.

While at the staff room this afternoon, I heard my friends' voices outside so I went out to check if it were in fact them. I was relieved when I saw 'them' standing outside, when I finally saw her face for the first time the whole day. They were waiting for me for some reason. I approached them with a smiling face, expecting good greetings in return. But oh, I was sadly mistaken. The time I get to talk to her the whole day and the first words that come out of her mouth were "Mauna na ako a." Then she handed me some homework assignments and off she went.

Later on (before going home), I found out from a friend that the earliest I would be seeing her again was in six days. Upon hearing this, I just went to the computer shop where one of my best friends was and I just watched DotA LAN games to take my mind off everything that has happened.

Then, when I got home, I logged on to NBA.com where I received the first good news of the day: there will be an NBA season! It starts on December 25 (26 here in the Philippines). Yeay! At least  there was SOMETHING to be happy about this day.

Sorry for being all dramatic. I know this changes nothing, but, I just had to let it out.

what to do, what to do

It's that time of the year again. My birthday's coming up. I should be excited, right? Well, I am. But, I still have NO idea on how/where/to what I should treat my friends tomorrow. Eto ang hirap 'pag maraming barkada e.

Some suggested that we go to Dagupan where there's good food for less and we would actually have something to do(e.g. walk around, go window shopping, go to the arcade). I'm okay with that idea, but the problem is, that's a little too far and my parents would kill me if they found out I went to Dagupan on my birthday without telling them. Others suggested that we just have lunch at Jollibee or Chowking or something. This seems like the logical choice. But, well, I'm a little short on "chiching", if you know what I mean. Should I just buy them food for recess? Should I just treat them to a Cornetto each or something? I don't know what to do! :/

Meh, I'm sure something will come up tomorrow. I just don't want to disappoint them. Besides, it doesn't really matter to me what we do on my birthday. I'm sure I'll have a blast tomorrow regardless of what we do as long as I spend my day with the people that matter.

Wanted: sense of taste

Well, I've been suffering(yes, suffering) from sever colds for the past few days. I don't feel comfortable especially in school. It's like every 30 seconds I have to get my towel to blow my nose. I cough, I've lost my sense of smell, I get dizzy at random times, and worst of all, I've lost my sense of taste!
It just so happened that in these past few days, my dad decided to make delicious treats and snacks. There was fried chicken, my dad's famous homemade burger, coleslaw and my dad's patented corned beef recipe, all of which I would have really really loved to tasted. I had no choice (and still have no choice) but to just put the food in my mouth, chew, and swallow to get it over with. But I could tell they tasted good because, well, my sisters kept repeating the line "Mmmmm.. Kuya Pao, ang sarap! Sayang ka! Bleeh!" Being ME, well, I was just so envious. I couldn't taste anything that I was putting in my mouth and I couldn't do anything about it. This has to end and end soon or I think I'll go crazy.
And this is the story (well, parts of the story) of the time when I got colds.

ang alamat ng Pinoy rock. \m/

I heard my dad and some of his friends singing this while his brother(my uncle) was playing the guitar the other night. I didn't know the song but it sounded great. When I asked what the song was, my uncle just said, "Dito nagsimula ang lahat." (This is where it all began).

to start things off

Let's start this off with a get-to-know me thing.
Here are the first 10 random facts about me that came to me while I was writing this:
1. My name is Paolo Ervin Perez and I DO NOT want to be called "Pach" (school thing). Not at all.
2. I consider food as one of the three most important things in my life. The other two being the people who surround me and the way I treat them.
3. I love the taste of fried garlic. Although I get a terrible case of the bad breath, it doesn't matter. They taste GOOOOOD.
4. Although I'm not very good at it, I enjoy playing basketball. I'm a huge LeBron fan but I'm not that big a fan of "The Decision" to leave Cleveland.
5. Even when I have problems, I just smile. I make sure others don't get affected  by my personal problems.
6. I LOVE to play the guitar. Rock rules(for me)! Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, these are some of my all time favorite bands.
7. I am absolutely terrified of clowns. There's something about them that's just so creepy...
8. I really, really, REALLY wanted to be an astronaut.
9. I cried (yes. I, Paolo Perez, cried) when my pet dog Chaos (weird name for a dog, huh?) died.
10. My favorite number is 10.
