January 18th.
Well, this day started out weird. At 6am, my mom walked in the room and shouted out my name like she was mad or something. So I jumped up and immediately asked her what the problem was. To my surprise, when i saw the look on her face, she was smiling, holding our(well, her) iPad with her left hand. She then showed me the reason why she was smiling. Turns out, I passed the USTET (University of Santo Tomas Entrance Test). Then I thought, "Wow. I must be smarter than I think. First the ACET, and now this?"
When I got to school, well, nothing extraordinary happened, so I'll skip to the end of the day.
At dismissal (it was kinda early, we had no classes in our last three subjects), I was a little bit down, emotionally, because of something I don't want to talk about. So, to get my spirits up, I just went and played basketball with my buddies. We enjoyed the basketball courts to ourselves for about an hour, then all the grown-ups started arriving, acting like they own the courts. So, since we've already had our fun, we just decided to go home.
Upon arriving home, I was still a little bummed. But then, everything changed when my sister and everyone in the compound started screaming "Congrats Kuya Pao! Nakapasa ka sa UP!" I was totally shocked when I heard this. I thought the UPCAT results wouldn't be out until February or something. So I rushed upstairs, switched on the laptop, and checked the UP website. And, man. They weren't kidding me. I really did pass. Whew, God indeed IS good.
OH YEAH!!! :)))))
